Q ‐ Do I need a webcam for online English lessons?

No. Students can choose video lessons with a webcam or audio lessons without a webcam. Audio lessons are highly recommended for students who want to focus on their listening and speaking skills.

Q ‐ What level of English do I need?

Online English lessons with ELCAS ENGLISH are suitable for students of all levels. If you are unsure of your level contact me and I can help you decide which course is right for you.

Q ‐ How much do the online materials cost?

All ELCAS ENGLISH materials and resources are included in the price of your online lessons. You will be provided with engaging learning materials designed especially for you.

Q - Do I need a fast Internet connection for online lessons?

The minimum connection speed recommended by Skype for video calls is about 300kbps in both directions (i.e. upload as well as download). Their recommendation for audio calls is 100kbps. You can test your internet speed here or contact me  to arrange a free introduction call.

Q - How many lessons a week can I do?

This depends on your needs and your timetable and can be agreed upon during the introduction call. Students can choose to book from 1 to 6 lessons a week. At ELCAS ENGLISH at least one lesson per week is usually recommended.

Q - Are all Elcas English lessons one hour long?

Most students choose to do 60 minute English lessons but it is also possible to do 30, 45 or 90 minute lessons. This can be discussed and agreed upon during the introduction call.

Q - Do you offer group online English lessons?

Most ELCAS ENGLISH lessons and courses are individual. However, we can organise online courses for a maximum of four students with the same level of English. Contact  ELCAS ENGLISH for more information.

Q - Will I be expected to do homework?

This depends on you and the type of English course you choose. Extra study, outside of lesson time is always recommended and you will be offered free practice materials after every lesson. For students who are simply looking for general English conversation and listening practice, we recommend ELCAS ENGLISH conversation courses.
